   Jamilah was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She attended Widener University earning her Bachelor of Arts in Special Education in 2006, as well as, her Pennsylvania state teaching license in Special Education. In 2007, Jamilah began graduate school at Saint Joseph’s University and earned her Master of Science in Education focusing on Reading in 2009, in addition to her Pennsylvania state teaching license as a Reading Specialist and ESL Program Specialist.  Gaining an interest in becoming an administrator, in 2014 Jamilah returned to Saint Joseph’s University to complete another graduate program.  In 2017, she earned her second master’s degree in educational leadership, in addition to her Pennsylvania state license to be a special education supervisor, supervisor of curriculum and instruction, and principal.

Meet Jamilah

Jamilah began her teaching career in 2006 in Philadelphia, PA. Currently, Jamilah is an Emotional Support Educator, teaching in Montgomery County, PA. where she teaches seventh grade English.  Over her teaching career, Jamilah has taught at all levels, i.e. elementary and secondary students.  She has instructed students with specific learning disabilities, emotional disturbances, intellectual disabilities, and average performing Autistic students.  Jamilah has also instructed students in co-taught and resource room settings.  Furthermore, she has instructed weekly social skills classes for students with socialization needs and has tutored children with special needs as well.
